💡
Hi Class! Today we are beginning a new program to help you prepare for careers. The program is put together by CareerVillage.org, a nonprofit organization that helps students prepare for careers with the help of 80,000+ working professionals who have been in your shoes. At the end of this program, you'll have career goals, career plans, logs of your career prep activities, and we'll finish the program by presenting our progress to each other as part of a capstone project. The program takes 20 hours to complete, and is broken up into about 40 small activities. You may work on the activities independently, but please don't skip ahead to future activities — I'll assign each activity to the class one at a time. They have created a curriculum for us to get you all career ready, a concept we are going to talk more about later. It's time to start the first activity: Please open this link and follow the steps in order to learn more what we're going to be doing together, and follow the steps on that page. When asked to save the Project Template, please save it to this Drive folder here so we can all see each others' work. Please complete this activity by [DUE DATE HERE] At the end of the activity, you should reply to this email with a reflection. Be sure to keep track of your reflections so you can read them later in the course. Reflection prompt: What does career readiness mean in your own words?
