- Update their career goals
- Recognize that goals are fluid and are open to change

Begin the activity
Step 1: Assign the activity to your students by email or in class.
To assign the activity to your students, email them:
- This web page for the activity plan
- Ask your students to share a reflection (usually a short 1-5 sentence written response to a prompt)
- Instructions on how you'd like to receive their reflections
- Reflection prompt (ie: Has your career goal changed? What steps have you made towards accomplishing your goal?)
- A reminder that they should keep track of their reflections so that they can read them later which will help them for their Project Status Reports and the "growth" portion of their Final Presentation.
Example email:
Step 2: Set up a CareerVillage Assignment to track student completion
Because CareerVillage Assignments trigger email notifications to students, we recommend setting up the Assignment after you email the students instructions (Step 1 above). For this activity, you will be creating a new assignment just like the one you created in Activity 3
- Go to your Educator Dashboard
- Assignment Type: Career Goal Statement
- Assignment Description (example copy): Hi Class! Today you'll be updating your career goal! Go to your profile, click the pencil icon in the corner of your career goal statement and update your goal. With any remaining time, go explore other students' questions and career goals on CareerVillage. Don't forget to send me your reflections when you are done. Thanks!
